I observed Mrs. Melnichek's class for a week before implementing my own two week curriculum for grades K-5. The art lessons included cyanotypes, wire sculptures, papermaking, creating clay coins, and mosaics.

Catherine Moore
Created and taught two lessons to Mrs. Moore’s second grade class. With inspiration from artist and author, Eric Carle, I had students use different texture samples to press into paint and stamp onto paper. For the next lesson, students traded textured prints and cut and pasted shapes to form a plant or animal.

- In my Two- Dimensional Art Experience class, my classmates and I created collaborative woodcuts, wherein we were responsible for producing a portion of a “body,” that was then mixed and matched to be printed. As a completed “body,” each piece was eighteen inches by forty-two inches.
